OUR LEAGUE HISTORY
The Masters was founded in the late 1980's by Peoria Journal Star columnist Wayne Raguse. Devoted to the positive promotion and representation of bowling, Mr. Raguse felt Central Illinois was lacking a prestigious bowling environment for scratch bowling. His vision was to afford the area's best bowlers an opportunity to showcase their many talents on a weekly basis through the development of this league.
The premier scratch bowling league in Central Illinois, our teams are drafted each year by the top 12 averages from the previous year with teams consisting of four bowlers per team. The league consists of 48 bowlers that travel between bowling centers throughout Central Illinois covering Peoria, Pekin, Morton, Washington, Canton and Bloomington Normal every Monday night.’
